Helped my dog’s dermatitis issue
I switched to ORIJEN Original after hearing good things, and it did not disappoint. The ingredients are high-quality, the smell is fresh, and my dog loves it. Her dermatitis issue with the previous cheap dog food has disappeared. Absolutely worth it for the nutrition and quality.

Great quality food
This is a great quality food and my dog loves it! It helps keep her coat healthy and shiny and her stools are much more normal and consistent with this food vs the other food we used to feed her.

Doc loves the taste, I love her perfect poops with it
Great dog food. Poops are perfect with this food and she loves it. The quality bag it comes in is super easy to open with hidden pull tab. I wish it was resealable though because the food does lose some of its appeal after it’s been exposed to air for a long time. Easy solution is to just get a container for it but then towards the end of the bag, it’s still getting lots of air, a resealable bag would be better and cost less.

Worth Every Penny!!
I’ve been feeding my German Shepherd Orijen Original for the past few years, and the results have been amazing. His coat is now shinier and softer than ever, and he has so much more energy! Truly he honestly acts years younger! This food is packed with high-quality, biologically appropriate ingredients that clearly make a difference. I’ve tried other premium brands in the past, but nothing has had the same impact on his overall health and vitality as Orijen. You can tell just by reading the ingredient list that this is real & nutritious food, not filler.Even my vet commented on what a great choice Orijen is. It’s a favorite among professionals in the pet care world for a reason. I worked in animal rescue/welfare for a long time and i believe in this brand. If you’re looking for a dog food that truly supports your pup’s health from the inside out, I highly recommend giving Orijen a try. Your dog will thank you

Does not cause or contribute to allergies
I have two dogs. Both mixed breed rescues. I have cooked for them their entire lives but needed a dry food in case they wanted more to nibble on. Orajen dry has been my go to for many years. My girls don’t have itching, or allergies eating Orajen. I feel it is a result of being fed a high quality food like Orajen.

Quality dog food
This dog food is excellent quality and clearly made with great ingredients. While it is a bit pricey, the results are worth it—my dogs absolutely love the taste and eagerly eat every meal. After feeding them this food for a while, I’ve noticed their coats look much healthier, shinier, and softer. It’s a great choice for pet owners who want to invest in their dog’s nutrition and overall well-being. Highly recommended despite the higher cost.

One of the Top Dog Kibble You Can Feed Your Dog
I rescued a 7 month old Husky recently. When I took her into the Vet for a wellness check, I had asked the vet what would be the best food for her. Without hesitation the Vet said Purina Pro Plan was the best! So trusting my vet I went out and bought the food.I feed my dog the Purina Pro Plan food and she sniffed around it at first and ate it. The food gave her diarrhea. Knowing huskies have notoriously sensitive stomachs, i thought I’d try sticking to it to see if she normalized. It wasn’t happening.During that time decided to educate myself on dog foods. Obviously fresh dog food is the best. I don’t have time to scratch make dog food myself, and the fresh dog food in the big brand stores is either too expensive, or I cannot depend on them to keep it in stock regularly enough.I came across Orijen dog food and the first thing I noticed were the ingredients. The first ten ingredients in a dog food is pretty telling. Here’s the first ten for Orijen’s Original Dog Food: Chicken, turkey, salmon, whole herring, chicken liver, dehydrated chicken, dehydrated turkey, dehydrated chicken liver, dehydrated egg, and dehydrated sardine. Did you see mention of any “by-products” or “meal”? Nope, because it’s not there. If you take a look at the first ten ingredients for Purina Pro Plan for puppies they are: Beef, rice, whole grain corn, poultry-byproduct meal, whole grain wheat, egg product, beef fat, pea fiber, fish meal and natural flavors.Clearly Orijen is the winner here. What they put in their dog food is so much better for our four legged friends.I switched my husky to Orijen’s Original food and things have been great. She has a beautiful shiny coat. She has had no digestive issues. Her energy level has gone up and she enjoys this food!Don’t ask your vet what to feed your dog. There’s a reason they suggest Purina and it’s not because it’s the best food for them. Do your research. Purina doesn’t even make the top 20 when it comes to foods that are better for your dog.Try Orijen if you’re looking to feed your dog well!..

Food, Glorious Food!Food, Glorious Food! –
My happy, healthy dogs LOVE this kibble.
My dogs LOVE this kibble! They are going on 3 and 4 years old. One of my dogs is grain sensitive and used to have non-stop rashes and itchy skin before I switched to this diet. Since I switched to the diet outlined below they haven’t had a day sick, a single tummy upset or a skin rash. I also struggled with them being a bit too heavy. I didn’t want to cut them down any more because they were SO hungry. I rotate my dogs through the various flavors. My vet said that it is best not to rely on one protein source as dogs may get food sensitivities and/or bored with it.I used to buy the Orijen Arcana but don’t anymore because it is lower protein. I give my dogs fresh produce (fresh raw chopped vegetables once a day, and tiny quantities of fruit (I always check what dogs can and cannot have before giving them any produce) so they don’t need the higher percentage of dried fruit and vegetables included the Arcana kibble.I also mix this kibble with Primal raw frozen nuggets so they get fresh meat with every meal, and they get one raw meaty bone each week (I buy the Primal bones from Pet Club). I felt weird about giving them dry kibble alone as that might be convenient for us, but I feel that it would be like us eating protein/energy type bars for every meal. I strongly feel that dogs (and humans) need fresh, raw ingredients too.I also give my dogs a spoonful of lactose free (a lot of dogs can’t digest lactose) plain yogurt with one meal a day. One of my rescues came to me with a yeast infection due to the gross diet (you don’t want to know) she was subjected to, at the very shonky “rescue” place. Our vet put her on a couple of courses of probiotics and recommended I give her yogurt each day to cure the infection. They both loved it so I saw no reason to stop. The probiotics and calcium can only be a good thing in my opinion, and if I run out they sit by thier bowls waiting after they eat, ’cause they know its missing! For treats I give them Canidae Grain Free dog treats as they are very low calorie, small, firm, chewy treats that can be put in your pocket without them disintegrating during a walk or training. It took me a lot of time to sort out what worked best for us. I am not an expert, but my dogs love thier food and my vet says that they are in perfect health and at the perfect weight, and that thier diet couldn’t be better, so perhaps this info might help someone put together a complete diet for thier dog. Here is what I feed them twice a day:All dogs are different, but my 18lb dog (who was a slightly overweight 21lb dog before this diet) gets:- 1/4 cup Orijen kibble twice a day.-1 thawed primal meat nugget twice a day. I rotate through the various Primal Frozen meat nuggets. You can also buy these freeze dried and reconstitute them with water but I prefer giving them the raw primal nuggets. In the morning I add a spoonful of plain lactose-free yogurt to thier dishes. And in the evening I add about 1/4 cup produce instead of the yogurt. Generally a mix of two items – either chopped green beans, cucumber, broccoli, carrots, cooked squash (I use canned organic non-sweetened, plain – beware pie pumpkin with spices) red, yellow, green peppers, a little romaine, other leafy greens – sometimes a couple blueberries, pieces of apple, orange, pineapple, melon etc.My 11lb dog gets exactly the same except she gets a bit less than half of of the kibble that I give 18lb dog at each meal.Once a week I give them thier dinner minus the primal frozen nugget and then give them a raw meaty or marrow bone which they gnaw on for hours. It helps clean thier teeth too.Hope this info is of use to someone. If so, please click “helpful” as I spend a lot of time on my reviews hoping to perhaps help someone, and I also believe in supporting great products! I am happy to answer any questions. I couldn’t be happier with the quality of this kibble.

Great ingredients, not just filler foods. Both of my dogs genuinely love them.
My 2 dogs are pretty picky, one is an endless pit of hunger and the other is pretty picky. Both of them have enjoyed these pretty throroughly (not as much as dinner) but will happy snack on them during the day or while they are waiting for breakfast. Other dry food they have turned their noses at. One of them is a small puppy but the other isn’t so I switched from the puppy version to this and neither have had issues chewing them. They’re a good level of crunch, and even if they fall into the water bowl they don’t disintegrate they hold up pretty well. They seem to have a good level of freshness always and the packet seals and reseals well until its empty. I purchased them because I like them to have healthy ingredients not relying on grain or filler and I check meat is a main ingredient. The price is good for the quality and size.
