Pitus’s favorite
My gal Pitus loves this kibble as if it were… well, salmon. Which it is.Pitus I rescued from the streets. She was gaunt but still very much friendly and loving. Earned her way into my heart and my home. She used to gulp her food down fast, surely a survival tactic she learned on the run. Now she dines at her leisure and sometimes strolls away and returns a while later. Security transforms behavior. She also feasts on Vienna sausages every other day, in addition to treats and a cut of much of what I eat. Gaunt no more.Pitus sends best wishes, y’all.

Great value
My dogs LOVE this dog food. They seem healthy and happy eating it. I have a 35 pound dog and a 20 pound dog. The food seems fresh for a dry dog food.

My picky dog ate it
My new adopted dog doesn’t eat her Purina One dog food very well. I have to put a topper on it to get her started. When the bag of wag dog food arrived, I opened it and a piece fell out on the floor and she immediately ate it and liked it. Even though she had eaten a small amount of other food already, I gave her a taste in her bowl and she gobbled it all down. Now, let’s see how it works on her stomach. She has a sensitive stomach. I wish it came in several sizes. I like to keep my dog’s food fresh and I don’t like ordering large bags even though it is cost-effective. However, it’s not cost-effective if it gets old in the dog doesn’t like it. I do keep it in a plastic container and I don’t want to have a large plastic container for my dog’s food.

Salmon rice sweet potato glucosamine dog food
This dog food must have a great taste. My dogs love it, the appearance, it’s nice, definitely not for a toy. Dog’s size, nutrition has glucosamine great for joint health. I buy salmon with sweet potato and or brown rice. My dogs has allergies to chicken. So this is perfect for them. It still has a tiny bit of chicken mill. But not enough to cause gastro problems, it’s a bit pricey for the money could be cheaper.

Made my dogs sick
This food made my dogs sick. I do not 100% know if it was only this food. But as soon as I started feeding this to my dogs (I did add it slowly to their other food) they started having diarrhea and throwing up. I still gave it 3 stars because the appearance looked good and like any other dogfood. All I know is I stopped feeding it to them and they stopped with the diarrhea and throwing up.

Please DO NOT feed this to your pets. It might as well be poison.
I will never be feeding my dogs this food again and I highly advise against anyone feeding this to theirs. We had our 12 yr old and 6 yrs old pups on this food for a little less than 2 years, it has done irreversible damage. We tried every supplement and additive under the sun to try to provide our dogs what we thought they were lacking until we finally switched back to the brand they were on previously. Within 1 week (no exaggeration) our dogs were acting completely different. They both had more energy and most of the weird symptoms we’d been dealing with for over a year had gone away. The difference was truly night and day. I mean our older dog had gotten so bad we were actually considering putting her down because we were so worried she would pass while we weren’t home. It’s now been a month of them being off this “food” and she’s back to her old self, feeling and looking 2+ years younger. No longer worried she’s gonna pass any day. She’s obviously still a senior dog but she has much more life to live. Our 6 yr old pup was starting to age rapidly as well, very lethargic and even having a lot of grey fur pop up on his face. I wish I had before & after photos to show but he also looks and feels about 2 years younger. It’s actually insane, a lot of the grey on his face is gone now and again it’s only been 1 month.I really hope people take the time to read this because I have no idea why this food was so horrible for us but I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I wish we figured out this food was the problem much sooner because who knows how much damage it’s actually done. It was a very gradual decline and because there were so many positive reviews we just assumed it was our pets aging.PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS TO YOUR PETS… PLEASE. I have no idea what’s in it but it needs to be looked into and removed from the market immediately.

Caused issues… in 3 of our 4 dogs
About 6 months ago, we started supplementing Wag dog food into our dog’s diet… trying to save a bit of cash like most people these days. For the first 4 months, we did a 50/50 split of our normal Taste of the Wild and this Wag food (with four dogs, the cost savings for us was $50 monthly) and planned to keep it at that. No issues arose blatantly during this time. But living expenses kept climbing and we decided about 2.5 months ago to switch 100% over to Wag to try to help. Today, I just cancelled our Wag food from our monthly Subscribe and Save- here’s why:3/4 of our dogs have had increasing health issues. Initially, I wrote those off as old age due to our two more senior dogs being the first to show the issues- purchasing some supplements to help them out as they age. In the last month, our 2-year-old Husky started having stomach issues- we initially chalked that up to our picky Husky that likes eating things she’s not supposed to (if you have a Husky, you get it) and kept a closer eye on her. After a month of close monitoring of our Husky and supplementing the older dogs, the issues have not resolved. Today, I finally put together what was the likely culprit for all our dogs new issues and that the Wag food cost savings was quickly becoming a budget nightmare with all the health issues arising and medicine/supplement costs adding up.Personally, I’m going back to our old food fully that our dogs thrived on for years. I can’t say doing a 50/50 mix if budgeting is getting tight would be a terrible plan, just with 4 dogs isn’t worth it to me.Here are the issues each dog had so you can decide for yourself if it’s worth it for your bottom line:German Shepherd: severe skin & coat issues, minor to moderate digestive issues (diarrhea).Transparency- Our GSD has hypothyroidism and seasonal allergies; however, neither condition can account for the level of new issues we’ve seen in the last couple months (after 5 years of managing it with her, we’ve got it handled).Catahoula-Pit Rescue: severe digestive issues all over the place- anal gland, diarrhea, constipation. She’s a senior but no ongoing issues normally.Siberian Husky: severe digestive issues and avoidance of the food. About a month ago she started retching a couple times a day- always bile. If you don’t have a Husky, you won’t get why this wasn’t an immediate red flag for us- but know I was paying attention and she had no distended abdomen, was eating & drinking within normal Husky range, was using the bathroom fine, and no change in activity level. She got put on 24/7 stalker-level surveillance as we assumed she was getting/or got into something she shouldn’t. Once that proved she wasn’t- our concern grew rapidly. Adding pumpkin purée and goats milk seemed to help her some but still retching once daily on average. She started avoiding her food and demanding extra of her natural bedtime milk-bones instead. So she got ordered 12 cans of sensitive stomach wet food- a couple days later, no more retching.Viszla Rescue: no overt issues we have noticed so far- then again her stomach is like a lab. She’s still not staying in Wag food regardless. When deciding if we should add Wag initially, the ingredients list aligned with our preferred brand and nutritional levels checked out- yet, ingredient quality is definitely subpar based on the health outcomes.
