Customer Service is incredible and they really stand by their product
Edit 3/6/21:I reached out to the customer service department for flying pig and spoke to them about my dryer overheating and shutting off. They sent me a brand new unit at no charge and I spent the last few weeks putting this new dryer through the ringer.I certainly made it a point to use it at least 9-10 times to see if the problem I had with my previous unit would continue and I’m happy to say I had zero problems! The air output is great and the heat vs no heat functions have been wonderful in the cooler temps. The dryer works as it should and I am happy to reassess and re-review this at the 5 stars it deserves.I’m unsure if there was just a problem with my old unit or what but I’m super happy with both my working product and the flying pig company overall. They truly stand by their product and absolutely want to see their customers happy. I am glad I reached out and I definitely plan on being a continued customer. Special shout out to Andrew who went out of his way to make sure I got the help I needed. I truly appreciate everything!***************************************Initially I was really impressed with the flying pig dryer. The speed and ability to dry my Australian Shepherd was phenomenal. Unfortunately after about 4 months of using this (20-30 minutes at a time every other week – so essentially 9 uses or about 4.5 hours) the unit overheats and continually trips my surge protector. Both the hose and body become unbearably hot prior to shutting off. I’ve cleaned and changed the filter but the problem still persists. As a result I’m disappointed in this item considering all the good I had previously heard and now I’m out a dryer and have to purchase a new one. I would not recommend this item for purchase.

BEST DOG DRYER EVER!!
TRULY THE BEST DOG DRYER EVER! I HAVE HAD MINE SEVERAL YEARS AND IT STILL WORKS LIKE NEW…AND I USE IT ALMOST WEEKLY WITH MY DOGS. I HAVE A BERNESE MT DOG, A LANDSEER NEWFOUNDLAND, AND TIBETAN TERRIERS SO THICK HAIR IS A BIG DEAL FOR US! I DECIDED AS I RETIRED THAT I WOULD DO MY OWN GROOMING LOL AND MY PREVIOUS GROOMER RECOMMENDED THIS DRYER. WOW THIS DRYER IS TRULY A WIN! THE PRICE IS MORE THAN WORTH IT! IT HAS A HIGH OR LOW INTENSITY, WHICH IS REALLY IMPORTANT WHEN U HAVE NEW PUPPIES AND WANT THEM TO GET USED TO IT AS WELL AS COOLING OR WARM AIR, WHICH AGAIN MATTERS BECAUSE HAIRY PUPS LIKE MINE IN THE SUMMER DO NOT EVER LIKE WARM AIR BLOWING ON THEM. I CAN’T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS DRYER, NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL.

The best dog dryer for grooming your own pet
It work just as well as a professional groomer tool. It’s not real noisy, lightweight and has a no heat option which is great for my hairy Shepard. It shakes out his undercoat without brushing and drys his off very well. It has heat regulation options in case heat is not needed. This was a lifesaver. Bathing a large hairy dog with anxiety issues is no small task and this saves me time and energy and it’s over quickly. I recommend this to anyone in need of assistance in getting their pet groomed efficiently and want to do it themselves.

Powerful little HV dryer!
I needed something that would help blow out the thick undercoat of our Australian Shepherd, and also help with getting him dry after bath time. I had this little dryer in my wish list hoping my husband would just buy it for me, it is a bit pricey and I wasn’t sure I really needed it. Well after the last grooming session (comb, comb, brush, brush, comb, comb, and repeat), I bought it.When I received my dryer the first thing I noticed was how small the dryer was, it is very compact and easy to maneuver, which is wonderful if you are going to spend an hour or so grooming your dog. I plugged it in and turned it on low to see how it worked,… if you do this in the living room you will quickly see how many dust bunnies have escaped your last session with the vacuum cleaner. At the highest setting dust, knickknacks (oops), and the Valentine’s Day cards that were still sitting on the bookshelf went flying across the room. Wow this little dryer is powerful!! One of the cats refused to come out from under the bed for a few hours after seeing the tornado in the living room! The dryer has a very strong plastic odor which I am hoping dissipates soon. There are two filters, one already installed in the back of the dryer, and one extra. The hose seems to be very well made connecting easily to the dryer and to the attachments with “C” clips. The ‘C’ clips are plastic, and you have to mess with them each time you connect and disconnect the hoses and attachments. To me they feel like they could break easily if you’re not careful, so I will look into picking up a few spares to keep with the extra filter in case they are needed. There is a nice handle on top and the dryer rests on four very stable legs. My dryer arrived with a tiny little scratch in the paint next to the flying pig sticker. I wish I never saw it because it’s like an eye magnet now, I see it every time I look at the side of the dryer. My husband offered to scratch the other side for me so I wouldn’t notice this scratch anymore,…no. :/The controls are placed at the end of the dryer and are very easy to use. Make sure everything is off and on low, then turn the dryer on. You can slowly increase the speed of the dryer by turning the little knob. If you want heat there is a toggle switch for low, high, and off. High heat feels very warm, almost hot, so you really need to monitor the air flow while using so you don’t injure your dog. This dryer works great for drying and fluffing our dog after a bath. It really does cut down on the time spent drying and makes grooming so much easier. Before I bought this dryer, while I was still researching which one I wanted, I watched quite a few YouTube videos on how to use a HV dryer to blow out the undercoats of dogs with double coats. On some of the videos you could really see the fur fly! This little dryer does just that, I was able to remove all the dead hair that was caught up in our dogs coat. I really wish I had discovered one of these dryers years ago when we had a Chow/Akita mix dog! The cord is nice and long so I can use this in the backyard after bathing the dog. Very happy with this HV dryer!4/11/18 – Our Australian shepherd is no longer with us but we still use this dryer on our two great danes. They have short hair but do still shed quite a bit. After baths we use a towel for around the face and ears then the dryer takes care of the rest. We are able to wash and dry two great danes in under an hour! This dryer removes dead loose hairs from their coats leaving them clean and shiny. We’ve owned this dryer for a little over two years and it has not failed us yet!! Wonderful little dryer that I would replace in a heartbeat if it ever died in us!

Game Changer Drying Huskies
The media could not be loaded.
I researched dog dryers for a long time. I pulled the trigger on this Flying Pig due to the glowing reviews. There are cheaper dryers out there, but I wanted a more quality unit with a trusted company. We have two Siberian Huskies. The male has a very thick double coat and our female not quite as thick. It used to take us about an hour with a household hair dryer to dry our male. This machine cut that time in half!We used take the male in for grooming, but his attitude has gotten him barred from coming back. Hence, the reason for buying this dryer.I did have the same issues as others when I first used it with the collar clamp not quite wanting to hold, but it’s been fine since. Just make sure it’s clamped properly. You could put a piece of electrical tape on it if you have issues.I did call customer service after the first use as the dryer just wasn’t getting as hot as I thought it should. Customer service was great and offered an exchange right away, however, I told them I’d conduct more testing with the unit.My Thermapen was only reading about 115-120°F at the hose end, where our home hair dryer was more like 150-165°F. Customer service advised the unit is rated for 80-160°F, but not at the end of the long hose. A lot of heat is lost. Regardless, the unit still gets warm enough to dry a large dog.Noise wise, on high, it is fairly loud, but not too bad. It doesn’t bother our male Husky at all, but then again he doesn’t even move for the vacuum. Our female is sketchy of loud noise, but tolerates the dryer as it’s not as loud as our vacuum cleaner. The hose is so long that just being a few feet from the unit cuts down on the noise.Overall, I’m very happy and impressed with the quality of the dryer and Flying Pig’s customer service. I highly recommend!

Powerful
Very pleased with quality and result. It is not very loud but powerful. Heat is more like warm-ish but it’s so powerful it doesn’t need hot air.

Great dryer for fussy dogs
I had this item in my cart for years before buying it. My golden retrievers are very fussy, don’t like hair dryers and the noise they make. This one is much quieter than I expected even at the highest speed. It dries them quickly and they tolerate it really well. You can feel the mist of water around them flying off and the air isn’t very warm so it’s comfortable for them. So glad I finally bought this! It’s pretty compact too for traveling.

Works amazingly!
This dryer works great! Very powerful. And it’s not very loud for my dogs. They were not scared of it at all. I didn’t even have it on the highest setting to dry them. It does a great job! I’m so happy with this dryer! The heat setting is perfect!

Just Right (A real no BOSH Review)
I just received the Flying Pig Pet Blower/Dryer 2 weeks ago and was eager to test its power and heat settings as winter is coming on.I am not in the pro groomer category, but I do own a kennel of 10 English setter and usually have a litters of puppies that seem to love all things that get them dirty. Thus all require normal occasional Grooming, Hair cuts, Maintenance and of course Baths. Also, beyond buying a can of air and towel, this is my first pet dryer so I have no comparisons in contrast to other blower/dryers other than my hair dryer, shop vac, or leaf blower? Is it wonderful, great, exceptional just because I bought it and it arrived? Give me a few years using the pig and I will be able to comment better. But they dont allow that, they want first impressions not lasting impressions. In short I am no fool that leaves wonderful reviews just because I bought something and think its wonderful because I have it in my hands! But I did do a few initial practical test, and on the non bathed dogs as well! and have to say I am impressed! ….. So far!Pig Heat-You always hear the Pro Groomers reviews say “do not buy a dryer with heat as you might burn your pets skin and worse”! But I have disagree and say “BOSH” heat is a necessity in a lot of situations and the pig does not disappoint or over exaggerate on hot air. Outside of that, you can always switch this units (low/high) heat to the off position and use cold air. What I like about the heat toggle switch is the fact that Low heat and High heat are separated by the in between “middle” setting of NO HEAT. Thus you cant accidentally or unknowing bump or switch from low to high heat as any accident will result in the middle setting of no heat. Thus I have to give the heat , the hose, the high/low-off heat a thumbs up for heat safety, applicable and practical use! just don’t wrap the hose around your neck and use common sense!!!!Pig Air FlowI would hate to see a dog coat that will need a more powerful air stream/flow!The Pig does have an adjustable “Stage” dial setting for motor/air speed (think TV/Radio volume control) which suggest more control over speed and airflow. However, an adjustable speed dial suggest more than a High, medium, low and such might be the capabilities of the pig. However with the basic test mind you, the sound of the motor, the noticeable force of air, etc….the only notable difference I could differentiate stands at Low, med, High. Anything in between those setting mentioned is too subtle for me to notice without some official airflow meter or pressure gauge. In saying that, This is still a good range of air speeds and I was impressed over all.Pig Air flow/PowerThe air is an ample (impressive) soft to medium and strong with and without the nozzle attachments. My initial test involved testing the wind power on a 4 foot mounted house ceiling fan from a distance of 10 feet away while holding the end of the hose/nozze at a 40-45 degree angle. The ceiling fan was turned off and stationary in each test, but the airflow alone was able to cause quite an airflow for the entire room 12×14 feet square, so it does moves some air. Quite quickly I might add!On low- no nozzle attachment- there was an impressive air replacement in the entire room which I would say will replace the rooms air in less than minute should it be filled with smoke to the point of suffocation. However, it was not able to turning the ceiling fan blades to a full continuous rotation, but they did move. However! Once you attach either of the two blower nozzles, it will turn the ceiling fan as if the fan it running on very low setting itself. At medium to High (without attachments), this unit will rock the room and act like a good summer breeze and if the waste paper basket in the room ever catches on fire and is filled with smoke I will gladly use this unit to blow the smoke out the door or window while holding my breath as it will not take that long to clear! It is definitely powerful enough and from 10 feet away cause the ceiling fan to turn like you would come to expect when it was running on its own electricity. I cannot say the ceiling fan ever reached the high speed setting, but the air flow is quite strong when the pig is on high.Up close and personalUp close, I can say this pig puts out a impressive air stream and pressure. it feels like a 25 – 35 psi larger stream of pressure coming from an air hose. The closer it is or the further away (10-23 inches) will definitely blow the water out of your socks and Fido’s as well.Pig DurabilityAs I said from the start, I have only had the pig unit for 2 weeks. So how long it holds out (expecting years) has yet to be tested and is a matter of the care and maintenance you give to the unit and time. I could neglect and leave unit outside in a rain storm, never clean the filter, and the unit dies out tomorrow! But I suspect with general maintenance this unit will last for many years! The motor will be the main concern in all the above. It feels durable, doesn’t feel like some cheap made vacuum cleaner or hair dryer and I was impressed by its portable size as its just a little larger than a football! But I have read a review it will last over 10 years. Yeah I have a shop vac that old as well, but only time will tell about the pig!Audible (noise)When I plugged in this unit, I anticipated a rather noisy unit somewhere in between a Shop Vac and Hair Dryer which is about the most annoying and long term intolerable sounds I will endure.I have to admit, the unit is not whisper quite, but its not any thing like a hair dryer or shop vac noise either! Quite pleasing to tolerate and my dogs do not seem to mind the noise either. In all the above, I think this unit was a decent investment, and if it last as long as my $75 shop vac. I am happy/pleased with the price and performance as I don’t see any need for an aircraft wind tunnel to dry a pet!

Game changer for poodle grooming!
I have been using a regular human hairdryer for years on my poodles. I finally stepped up and bought one of these after many suggested it on a Facebook DIY poodle grooming, Page. It’s definitely a game changer when set at full velocity, it just blows the excess water right off the fur. I think it freaks the dogs out a bit so I cover their ears with a snood. Eventually, I think they will get used to it.
